Quit smoking easily

Study at University of Buffalo shows that smokers who consume most fruits and vegetables are 3 times more likely to be able to quit smoking than those who consume lowest amount of fruits and vegetables.

A paper published in the journal Nicotine and Tobacco Research is the first study about the positive effects of eating fruits and vegetables on smoking. The new study has been published online by University at Buffalo public health researchers.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

  • The set under study composed of 1000 smokers (25+ year old) using random-digit dialing telephone interviews.
  • Various facets were analyzed :
    1. TTFC (Time to first cigarette)
    2. Total score on NDSS (Nicotine dependence syndrome scale)
    3. Additional adjustment for indicators of general health orientation (heavy drinking, exercise, and illicit drug use).

 RESULTS:

Higher FVC (Food and vegetable consumption) was associated with fewer cigarettes smoked per day, longer TTFC, and lower NDSS score.

Moreover, those in the highest quartile of FVC were 3.05 times more likely (p < .01) than those in the lowest quartile to be abstinent for at least 30 days at follow-up.

  2. Electronic cigarettes have become much more user friendly than earlier versions which perhaps were a little too large to encourage a mass market appeal. The "mini" is the most realistic e cigarette to date with its length of 100mm being the same as a conventional cigarette.I have a good news for all the people of this blog that is Electronic Cigarette Wholesaler. For more information you can visit this site.
